Ultimaker 3
The Ultimaker 3 is a dual nozzle 3D printer, designed to provide either dual material, soluble support material or dual colour 3D printing. The Ultimaker 3 comes with two types of swappable print cores, for build (AA) and support (BB) materials.
The print head assemblies are swappable for using different materials, designed for easier maintenance. With this 3D printer, Ultimaker have released material spools with embedded NFC technology to detect the type of material. This works with the Ultimaker 3’s built-in material recognition system to detect and identify the material on the reel holder, to verify the filament and print core being used. There is also an EEPROM chip within the print core that registers the size and type of nozzle, designed to streamline the print process.
The Ultimaker 3 also comes with a heated glass bed with active bed levelling, an on-board camera and connectivity via Wi-Fi, LAN or USB.
Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
